Giclée Prints
are produced on a Canon iPF6400 wide format printer which uses Canon’s unique 12-colour pigment ink system and can print up to A1 in size or 61cm (24") wide by up to 200cm long.
Hahnemühle Fine Art papers we use are: Matt texture - German Etching, 310gsm, Glossy - Fine Art Baryta 325gsm, for Canvas - Daguerre Canvas 400gsm and now Photo Rag 308gsm and Photo Lustre 260gsm.
Caldera RIP software manages the printer ensuring greater colour accuracy.
When asked about Lightfastness to quote from Hahnemühle's website: "In case of pigmented inks we are talking about light stability of more than 100 years, in compliance with Wilhelm Imaging Research."
A2, A4 & A3 prints are sent flat in strong cardboard envelopes with additional reinforcing to prevent any bending during transport. Larger Prints are despatched in 75mm dia strong cardboard tubes. All are wrapped in 'Acid Free' tissue paper and sent by Royal Mail or courier.
A high quality, high resolution digital image in any of the main formats is required. (at least 5mB in size preferably larger) If you do not have an image we can offer our Art Photography service.
It is recommended where more than one copy is required that an A4 proof is ordered first so that any corrections to the image can be made before the final printing.
